Plant for the long term
Paulownia ALTIFOLIA® is the fastest-growing tree in the world: under good conditions it reaches 13 to 15 metres in six to eight years — roughly 3 metres a year — with leaves that can exceed 80 cm in length. It is also among the most efficient trees at capturing CO₂ and releasing oxygen through photosynthesis.

Our ALTIFOLIA® variety, a cross between Paulownia Elongata and Paulownia Fortunei, was selected for hot climates: it needs, on average, only 2 litres of water a day — against 25 litres for other varieties on the market. Combined with 100 g of ECOSORB® per plant at planting, irrigation needs drop by a further 50%.
Our ALTIFOLIA® variety stands out for its homogeneous, compact growth, a narrow crown and thick, fleshy leaves; the straightness of its annual shoots means formative pruning can be skipped from the second year onward. Highly resistant to pests and disease thanks to its deep root system, it also enriches the soil with nitrogen and prevents erosion.

The wood only ignites above 426°C, making it an effective fire barrier too.
Trees are delivered as 25-30 cm potted plants, air-freighted within an average of six weeks, from a minimum order of 1,000 units. Every plant is certified disease-free with a phytosanitary certificate, and guaranteed: any tree that dies during growth is automatically replaced.

On arrival, plants spend six weeks under cover before planting, with drip irrigation and protection from wildlife. The growth rate, around three metres a year, allows a first harvest at the end of year six, for wood valued at €400-450 per m³.
